How a work earns a recommendation.

Every entry is classified as a finite Podcast Series or a self-contained Podcast Season. The parent Show, season number when applicable, podcast publisher, official site or feed, and directory identifiers remain separate fields.

The work receives one stable canonical page. If its public slug changes, the old slug remains an alias rather than becoming a second identity.

Core facts are checked against first-party sources whenever possible and accompanied by visible source links and a fact-review date. Release state, available episodes, verified total episodes, and verified listening time are distinct claims.

Unknown totals are omitted. A releasing work can say how many episodes were available on a dated review, but that available count is not presented as the final total.

A qualified work needs more than a title restatement or copied directory copy. The editorial record includes a verdict, why the work is recommended, best-for and not-for guidance, strengths, caveats, sensitivity guidance, and story, reporting, and tone tags.

Commitment-based recommendations are published only when the duration or episode facts needed to support them are verified.

Research and drafting tools may help assemble a review packet, but they cannot make a page indexable. A human reviewer must explicitly move the work through draft, in-review, and approved states. Withdrawal removes it from the indexable projection.

Publication history is retained so a new draft cannot silently rewrite what was previously approved.

Releasing works are due for fact review every 30 days. Completed works are due annually. Editorial guides are reviewed quarterly and whenever an included work materially changes.

Each approved page shows its relevant fact-review and editorial-review dates and links to the corrections process.
